PROJECT SUMMARY: The Gateway is a new apartment-style university housing project located at the entrance to the Bowie State University campus, hence the name. The approximately 180,000 SF scope includes five levels of living units over ground floor retail and office. Given the increasing costs of construction, the main challenge was to meet the design requirements of the various stakeholders while also adhering to tight budget.
